Jennifer Channon (Artistic Director): Dance Director Jennifer Channon, has studied and trained in the art of dance since the age of three. Her passion for the arts continued as she pursued a college profession at Simpson College in Dance and Theatre. After college she became certified through Dance Masters of Mid America where she achieved a masters certificate in teaching the art of dance. Aside from the studio, she is involved in judging for Regional and National Dance Competitions as well as providing her love for dance to other studios across the nation as a Master class teacher. Many of her students have gone on to become professionals in the performance world as dancers, singers and performers all across the nation.She has won many choreography awards as well as her students holding regional and national titles. She currently is a master teacher for Dance Directive and well known choreographer. She has studied at the Edge in L.A. With choreographers Mia Michaels, Sonya Tayeh, Tabitha, and Napoleon D'umo. Her well rounded dance educational background allows students to learn at an advanced level. Teaching the art of dance is her passion and one of her greatest rewards. Your child will love her energy and passion she brings to each class she teaches.
Jessicia Allen (Director): Performing Arts Director and Artistic Director Jessicia Allen has been dancing since the age of three. An alumni of Express Yourself Performing Edge, Jessicia has been an instructor at EYPE for 9years. Her students have won many regional and national titles to add to her numerous choreography awards. In addition to her dance education, Jessicia studied music at Drake University after high School. Offering vocal lessons has opened a new avenue of education to EYPE. She performed with artist Kenny Rogers and was the 2004 runner up in the Iowa Idol. Currently she is a master class teacher for Dance Directive and has recorded songs with music artist Kyle Mccluer of Kansas. Jessicia enjoys sharing her talent with her students and is working on continuing her dance education by being certified in teaching through Dance Masters of Mid America..
